What is a dialler?
A dialler automatically calls pre-loaded lists of numbers with the
aim of keeping sales busy talking to prospective customers. A manual
telephone campaign, by contrast, requires agents to dial numbers
one at a time and to deal with unsuccessful calls such as no answers,
busy phones, answering machines and dead numbers.
Agent Productivity
Most manual campaigns rarely achieve more than 10mins per hour actual
talk time (the amount of time spent actually talking) - equating
to just 17% of an hour! A good dialler implementation can easily
achieve double, treble or even higher talk times over manual dialling.
Effectively this means doubling or trebling the sales force.

Technical
SBS Call Manager is a new type of system works on converged network:
the same set of wires carry telephone conversations and data in
a form that is easily manipulated by software. Although there are
savings in being able to share wires, the converged environment
offers much much more in terms of innovation that can be brought
to applications. SBS Call Manager is a suite of applications all
working in concert to deliver as much or as little functionality
required. Starting from a full feature phone system, SBS Call Manager
can be built into a high performance Callcentre.

It is possible to integrate data and communications very much more
easily, quickly and cost effectively. It is also possible to work
in ways that have not been (easily) possible in the past. For example,
working at home but still being able to receive calls from the office
as if in the office and being able to call colleagues on their normal
office extensions. Home workers can operate in an integrated Callcentre
with calls delivered to their home workstation and be able to benefit
from supervison and support from office colleagues.

SBS Call Manager is capable of three modes of operation: as a conventional
office phone system, as the core of an inbound call centre with
full Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) facilities, or a full outbound
campaign system with predictive, progressive and preview dial modes.
In each case administration, configuration and comprehensive reporting,
is via easy to operate browser-based interfaces. It is possible
to combine all three modes and operate a fully blended Callcentre.
SBS Call Manager supports dozens of Agent positions with full data
integration to back-office systems and enterprise databases.
SBS Call Manager connects to the phone network using ISDN2, ISDN30
interfaces and also Voice over IP (VOIP). SBS Call Manager can also
interface with existing phone systems to deliver a full inbound,
outbound and blended Callcentre utilising existing investment.
