SBS Speech Enabled Auto Attendant engages callers in a natural dialogue,
allowing them to ask for an individual or department and transferring
them to the appropriate extension. The system can operate 24 hours
a day 7 days a week with different greetings depending on time or
day. Callers can interrupt the Auto Attendant barging in on prompts.

How
does it work?
SBS
Speech Auto Attendant sits alongside
your existing telephone system answering incoming calls and transferring
them to the requested extensions. Callers speak the name or department
and don't have to remember extension numbers or to 'type' name spellings.
Simple, just ask for whom they want.
Since
the system comes in 4 or 8 (or larger!) line configurations, it
is like having 4 or 8 operators all answering simultaneously. If
the called party is not available, calls can be re-directed to voice
mail or forwarded to another extension.
Speech
Auto Attendant is delivered on a standard Windows Pentium 4 machine
with appropriate network cards to integrate virtually any PBX. Popular
makes such as Alcatel, Panasonic, Avaya, Toshiba etc are supported
out of box with the model selected from a drop down menu.
Through
an easy to use interface,
the name for each department and person is set up very simply. Entries
can be added, modified and deleted without shutdown or re-boots.
It is also possible to specify exact pronunciation if required.
Generally the system determines how a name is spoken using its own
built in dictionary of names.

Recognition that Adapts
The advanced speech recognition technology used in the Speech
Auto Attendant continuously analyses incoming speech for variation
in speaking style and pronunciation. The resulting information allows
Speech Auto Attendant to compensate for speaker accents, telephone
line quality, and background noise at the customer site and so on
thereby boosting recognition accuracy. The entire process is automated
and the models generated load themselves into the system without
any user interaction. The adaptation process can be performed any
number of times to re- train the system if the above conditions
change. Over a period of time, the trained model results in much
faster and exceptional speech recognition accuracy at the customer
end.
